Understanding Church Architecture

Associate Professor Michael Horsburgh AM

Option 1: Sunday 21 May, 2pm-4:30pm, St James’ Hall

Option 2: Tuesday 23 and 30 May, 1pm-2pm, St James’ Hall

Christians have worshipped indoors for most of their history, from catacombs to basilicas to churches of all descriptions.  Does it matter where we worship?  Does the location of our worship help to fashion it? Have we deliberately structured our worship spaces to achieve particular effects?  Are there hidden influences? Tickets $30 ($20 conc) including refreshments.
