Lunchtime Concert: Tommaso Girotto, Guitar

We are delighted to welcome Tommaso Girotto, a young Australian guitarist who has dedicated himself to his passion for music since the age of 10. Tommaso has studied with some of the world’s leading guitarists, including Giuseppe Zangari in Australia, Allan Neave and Ian Watt at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Goran Krivokapić at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. His artistry has been shaped by masterclasses with luminaries such as Oscar Ghiglia, Lukasz Kuropaczewski, Paolo Pegoraro, and Timothy Kain.

Tommaso has earned prizes in major competitions, including first place in the Sydney Eisteddfod and third in the Adelaide International Guitar Festival, and has performed as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House. His programme, All in Twilight, is a stunning journey through diverse musical landscapes, featuring works by Sculthorpe, Takemitsu, Dean, Bach, Crivici, and Albeniz. This recital promises technical brilliance and expressive depth from one of Australia’s most exciting young talents.
