Lunchtime Concert: NSW Police Band

The NSW Police Band is one of Australia’s oldest and most distinguished ceremonial and community ensembles, with a proud history dating back to 1895. As the official musical representative of the New South Wales Police Force, the Band performs at state ceremonies, civic events, commemorations, community engagements and concert performances across New South Wales and beyond.

Renowned for its musical excellence and versatility, the Band’s musicians present a repertoire spanning traditional wind band classics, orchestral transcriptions, contemporary works and popular favourites. Through its performances, the NSW Police Band fosters connections between the police and the wider community, promoting goodwill, respect and shared civic pride.

St James’ warmly welcomes the NSW Police Band and its musicians for this special concert, today’s recital will feature the Clarinet Quintet and Trombone Quartet, celebrating the power of music to inspire, unite and enrich community life.
