The International Organ Festival

After a very successful series in our inaugural year, we’re delighted continue bringing out world-class organists from across the globe to our historic Georgian church in the heart of Sydney.

2024 saw the blessing of this new instrument, built by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders from Lake City, Iowa. The organ was immediately put through its paces in a series of grand occasions, services, and concerts – most notably by James O’Donnell, former Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster
Abbey, who gave the opening recital.

We continue to be blessed by the presence of this extraordinary new instrument, and through its strength and versatility, we aim to platform a diverse range of repertoire, mediums, and skill sets from the world’s greatest players.

As a result of this, we’re excited to launch a new series called IOF+ which showcases the organ in collaboration with other instruments alongside the International Organ Festival itself.

Thank you for joining us and being a part of this series, which we are able to put on through your support and generosity. We’re also extremely grateful to our sponsor – The St James’ Foundation Limited, who continue to support music in
Sydney’s oldest church.
